Sher
As a toddler, Sher's mother gave her reams of paper and a pencil as a creative outlet. Now she mostly uses bound books of paper, a mechanical pencil, and a good eraser, though she loves being introduced to new techniques and mediums. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Sher is a Filipinx artist who draws her inspiration from people and nature.
When Sher joined the US Navy, she took a long hiatus from art. Only recently has she begun exploring it again. Through her work on her own identity, she has found it to be an important part of an individual’s wholeness and integral in maintaining her mental health.
Sher is also a first-generation immigrant and first-generation college graduate. When she’s not creating visual art, she spends her free time as a writer, master gardener, wilderness guide, Filipino reconstructionist, and petter of dogs.
